I have not yet received my pension even after several months from my retirement from service. What is the reason for such situation?
- In order to commence the payment of pension, it is required to refer an application of PD 03 for the pension through online process to the Department of Pensions by the institution where you served for the last time. However if your application for the pension has not been sent by the institution even after the lapse of several months, or it has been sent with a certain delay, payment of your pension will also be delayed. Therefore, note to make an inquiry from the institute, where you serve, regarding the date of sending your application for pension.
How can I get an acknowledgement that my application for pension has reached the Department of Pension?
- As soon as your application for pension reached the Department of Pensions, you will receive an SMS in this regard. In addition to the above, please click on the ‘Pensioner’ button of the website of the Department of Pensions. Further, it is possible to get information on the applications by way of including your number of NIC under ‘Information on Pensions Applications’.
I do not receive the SMS sent by the Department of Pensions.
- The Department of Pensions send SMS only to the mobile number indicated in the application for pension and such SMS sent by the Department may not be delivered properly due to situations such as giving incorrect mobile numbers, technical faults of mobile.
How long does it take to receive the pension after submitting pension application?
- If the application for pension has been submitted by the institute, where the officer served for the last time, without any defect, the pension will be activated within a month from the date of receipt of the application.
What is the process applied after submitting an application for pension?
- The retired officers will strictly be informed by an SMS regarding the date, venue and time of the interview for activating pension.
What are the places where the interview is held for activating first pension?
