First pension initiation is the main service providing by this department. The aim of our pension initiation sections is to provide an efficient, convenient and hazel free service to the senior government servants who are newly entering in to our valued pensioners community. We proudly announcing that 95% of new pensioners are getting their first pension payment within 1month period from receiving the pension application to the Department of Pensions through our online PMS facility. Remaining 5% takes more time to initiate their pension due to various unclear service periods or other irregularities in their service records. But our team putting their highest effort to make the pension granting process as smooth as possible
Decentralized Method
This means the decentralization of the full authority to the Head of the Relevant Institute for granting pension under decentralized system. We have remarkably improved the first pension initiation process by introducing this decentralized pension method with the use of our cutting-edge technical solutions.
The objective of referring applications for pension of the retired officers to the Department of Pension by all government institutions before granting pension is to complete the tasks such as obtaining a pension number for the pensioner, activating first pension and payment of gratuity.
Centralized Method
Keeping the authority to grant pension with Department of Pension instead of vesting that authority in the Head of Institution is the specialty in the payment of pension through centralized system.
Our staff is personally inspecting the relevant physical documents under this system, in order to provide an extended service to our valued pensioners community as required.
Therefore, the applications of the retired officers, who are entitled to the pension under centralized system, should be sent to the Department of Pensions along with other relevant documents.
